God has invested His nature in us. We are children of God; so we carry His wisdom, His power, His strength, His glory, His compassion, His love, His mercy, and all other infinite, innumerable qualities of God.

If you are a child of God, then you are a partaker of the divine nature. You’ve been born of the spirit. You have the seed of God in you, and now you need to showcase it to the world. You need to manifest your divinity. And your work is your means to make this happen.

Jesus said:

“In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they might see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.â€

~ Matthew 5:16

Jesus instructed us to let our light shine before men. It is important to note the reason why. It is not so that men might give you money. No! Because you don’t need money from anybody. Your divine supply is not connected to any human being’s resources. Essentially Jesus said, ‘Let the qualities of God in you come forth, so that creation will see them and bring praise to the Father.” That’s why you should work!

This truth is further highlighted in the book of Ephesians :

“His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms.”

~Ephesians 3:10

The intention of God is that through the church, the manifold wisdom of God will be made known to principalities and powers. That’s the plan of God. God intended that through us – the church is you and I – His children, the manifold wisdom of God will be showcased.

Manifold means it’s multifaceted and has many dimensions. This wisdom of God that is incomprehensible will be displayed not just to human beings, but to principalities and angels through you. Think about that!
