God Didn’t Design You To Work For Money

February 13, 2013
This entry is part 15 of 22 in the seriesWhy Does God Work?

God’s plan for your provision in the new creation today is not through your work. It’s through Jesus. It’s through your relationship with the Father. Work is for a different reason.  You should work; but not to put food on the table. You should work; but not for money.  You should work; but not for your provision.  God didn’t design you to work for money.

The devil today has succeeded in getting the church out of sync with the Spirit of God. He has lured her into the same frame as the people of the world. You are not supposed to work for money. You are not supposed to work for food. God decided to provide for you. Jesus broke the ‘no sweat no sweat’ Adamic curse, so that you can work for the same reason that God works.

So when you’re going to your workplace in the morning, it’s not so you can have food on the table. As you go about your business, it’s not so you can make money. As unfamiliar as this sounds, realize that you are to work for the same reason the Father works.

For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities – his eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

~Romans 1:20

From the inception of the world, God has been displaying His invisible qualities through His creation. God works to express His invisible qualities; so you too should work to express your divine nature. That should be the reason for your  work: to express the nature of God in you.

Just like your heavenly Father works to showcase his awesome qualities, so you likewise should work to express the variety of God that you are designed to manifest. You are not designed to work for money.
