You don’t have to work to eat. As unfamiliar as this sounds, it is important you understand the point being made in this post. If you are a child of God, the ‘no sweat no sweet’ curse of toiling to eat that Adam and his wife got in the garden of Eden shouldn’t work in your life, because of Jesus’ atoning work on the Cross of Calvary.

Let’s make a little comparison. Under the Adamic curse God said, ‘By the sweat of your brow you will have your daily bread; you’re going to eat from your sweat, from your labor’. Under the Abrahamic covenant God said, ‘You go ahead and work. I will bless your work.’ In both arrangements, your blessings, supplies, and daily provisions come through your efforts; through your tilling of the soil.

But when Jesus came He said something different. He said, “Ask the Father, ‘Give us each day our daily bread.’” In other words, your daily provisions will no longer come from the earth; it’s will rather come from the Father. It will no longer going to come through labor; it will come as a gift. What a distinction!

Under the Adamic curse, your daily provisions comes through your sweat. Under the blessing of Jesus Christ, however, your daily provisions comes from God; as a supply from your heavenly Father. Jesus basically said, ‘I have disconnected your daily provisions from your efforts, so you no longer have to labor in order to eat.’

Reflect on this for a while. Allow it to sink in so you can enjoy the bountiful daily provisions of your Heavenly Father.
