#014: Back To School [DadCast]

August 19, 2013

Hey Dads! I'm so glad you are here for Episode 14 of the DadCast!

It's that time of year again! For most of us, our kids are headed back to school for another year. And this can be an exciting time in our lives and families!

As a youth minister for more than two decades, this has been an important point in the year for ministry. As a homeschool dad, it wasn't as important, because we structure our school activities around our busy schedule.

But this year, all that changes.

In this episode of The Dadcast, I want to share with you some thoughts on the beginning of the school year, and how that has impacted my life. And I'd like to encourage you to take an active role in this part of your kids' lives as well.

And that is what Episode 14 of The DadCast is all about!

Episode Notes
DadCast Encouragement
In this episode of The DadCast, I simply want to share some thoughts from my heart about our kids going back to school.

We have homeschooled our kids since they were old enough to start preschool. And it has always worked great for us. But this year, we've decided to give our oldest daughter the opportunity to go to public school. She began her freshman year of high school with a new reality, different than anything she's ever known.

In this episode of The DadCast, you'll hear my thoughts and my emotions as we make this transition in our lives.
Dadhood News
Schedule change for future episodes of The DadCast. This fall brings with it a couple of events on my personal and ministry calendar that will make it hard to keep the current schedule of every other week for new episodes. My plan is to shift everything by one week. So episode 15 will not be released in two weeks, it will be released in three weeks. After that, the every other week schedule will resume, and allow my calendar the flexibility needed this fall.

Thanks for understanding!
