Dear Darling Wife: Our Love Letters
Infertility from the Husband's Perspective
Dear Darling Wife,
Before getting married I had never really thought much about infertility. It wasn’t a common topic among any of my friends, and when a bunch of single men are sitting around, they generally aren’t discussing childbirth issues.
Now that you and I have been married for a little over two years, I know much more about the subject. Now I know the emotional pain of infertility, and I know how difficult it is to be unable to conceive. We get a monthly biological reminder that we aren’t yet on the road to becoming parents, and each phone call from pregnant friends shatters our emotions into two camps — intermingled joy and sorrow.
