Dealing With Demons

12. The Future Seems Somewhat Foggy

December 01, 2014

I promise I tried not to ramble, but I have to admit I did get a little off track.  This is another one of my “riding to work” recordings, so please bear with the road noise.

As we’re getting closer to Christmas, it’s getting closer to the time when my oldest son will be relocating to the other side of the country.  I’m excited for him, as I’ve said before, but I’m also sad and anxious.  It seems that he is, too.  It’s a big decision and a big life change to do what he is about to do.  I think it’s a good move for him – he’s chasing a dream that he’s worked hard to get for about 3 years.

I’m a creature of habit and I suppose this change in all of our lives has gotten me a bit out of my comfort zone as well.  Asked by my wife over the extended weekend (Thanksgiving) about what I wanted out of live (or something to that effect), I really couldn’t answer the question.

That’s the gist of the conversation I’m having with you in this recording, my dear podcast listening friend.  Happiness, pride, anxiety, terror, foggy futures.  Yeah, that about sums it up.
