Jacob is still very concerned about meeting his shunned brother.  He spends the night in the wilderness alone and then "wrestled" with the "angel" and suffered a tear in his hip.

Laban and Jacob settle their differences and part ways.  Esau heads out to meet his brother Jacob.  Jacob falls asleep by himself in the hills. Psalm 9:18 For the needy will not always be forgotten,  Nor the hope of the afflicted perish forever.

Who is Laban?  Laban catches up to Jacob and searches for his stolen, man made idols.  Jacob pleads his case against Laban and they ending up making an agreement between them. 

The twelve tribes continue to form by way of Jacob, Leah, Rachel and their maids.  Laban deceives Jacob, God guides Jacob in the affairs of life and gifts him with livestock management and herbs.

After deceiving Esau Jacob left for Rebekah's family, met and married Rachel and Leah.  The twelve tribes of Israel are coming to be.

The tribes of ishmael, the generations of Isaac and Isaac and Rebekah's children Jacob and Esau are all discussed today.  Also; Esau demonstrates the consequences of hasty, ungodly decisions.  Also; Isaac - like father, like son.

From Isaac and Rebekah come Jacob and Esau.  Isaac leaves the land because of famine and Yahweh God reestablishes His covenant with the family line to establish Israel.
