CCP Ep 7 - Kristina Leach

March 01, 2015

For Episode 7 Chuck sits down with South Coast Repertory Literary Associate Kristina Leach to talk about what it is that a literary associate does, the inner workings of a busy theatrical literary department, and what it means to be "struck by lightning". Along the way the conversation touches on playwriting, finding inspiration, and getting back "in the room". From her first assignment of picking up Richard Greenberg from LAX to the adult playwriting class she currently teaches at SCR's Adult Conseratory, Kristina has a deep passion for the work and a ton of brilliant insights into the creative process that make this a must-listen for theatre professionals and amateurs everywhere!
Kristina Leach is a Literary Associate at South Coast Repertory. A native Orange Countian, Kristina is an alum of both Orange Coast College and Cal State Fullerton. She’s been involved with theatre...a long time (that’s all she’ll say). She is a mom, a writer and teaching artist. Her plays have been produced throughout the US and in the UK. She currently lives in Orange County with her husband Eric, their son Isaac and a grumpy pooch named Murray.
If you live in or around Southern California and would like to stretch your playwriting muscles, why not take an introductory playwriting class with the fabulous Kristina Leach? Visit the link below for more information:
