What can you do to make sure the car enthusiast lifestyle doesn’t disappear.

Why hasn’t anyone done anything about these hoon Laws?

Why is car modifying a hoon offence?

Who is doing something about it?

These questions pop up all too often, I suppose it is easy to pass the responsibility onto a group or leadership body, and blame them for any failings but the question should also be.

What are YOU doing about it ??!!!

The car enthusiasts in Australia need to help were they can there is a real attack on right now and the people perpetrating it may not realize the full implications. We need your help.  We discuss some ideas that might be useful.

FOUR things you can do

To make sure the car enthusiast lifestyle doesn’t disappear

  1   WRITE TO POLITICIANS Tell them your concerns, show support for your lifestyle, highlight concerns like getting pulled over for no reason,  having a defect notice for empty washer bottles, highlight that there are no easily accessible driver training and motoring facilities.

 2   KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN FOR LAW REVIEWS BY GOVERNING BODIES AND TELL YOUR VIEWS. The EPA Vic recently asked for submissions into their review of EPA statutes, they were seriously looking at implementing cameras that listen for noisy cars and high emissions.

 3    WRITE OR CONTACT MOTORING BODIES If you belong to other motoring bodies that lobby for you, tell them your issues otherwise you waste your membership fees, only vested interests get served, check if you belong to groups like MTAQ, IAME, AAAA, ACMC, AAA, Insurance bodies or anyone that purports to represent your industry that may be affected by Hoon Laws, Bikie Laws,Modification Laws.

 4   TALK TO SUPPLIERS OF MOTORING PRODUCTS AND ASK THEM TO CONTACT THEIR PEAK BODIES. Look where you are shopping for your car accessories are they disclosing all you need to know about the parts they sell you, is it going to cost you your car if you get pulled over.
