Nathan Bedford Forrest pre-make-over

Are we on the cusp of our own version of the Cultural Revolution? Hopefully not, but the parallels are chilling.

I used to drive past the pictured statue of Nathan Bedford Forrest when I lived in Tennessee. It looks as ridiculous in real life as it does in this photo. Someone recently decided to upgrade Forrest's look with a generous quantity of pink paint.
