Welcome to session 18 of the Craft Beer Showdown Podcast. In this episode I got the chance to sit down with award-winning brewer Steve Sloan and talk all about his past brewing experience as well as his latest work at his brewery, Roundabout Brewery. 

Steve was the 2012 GABF Large Brewpub Brewer of the Year and with this title helped take home four medals as well as the award for Best Large Brewpub, all for his last gig at the Church Brew Works also in Pittsburgh, PA. 
Steve is a man of few words and is far more humble than you would expect from a man of his brewing history and skill. It was an honor to sit down with him in the brewery to talk for a little while between brews.
 
With past breweries in his resume like Firestone Walker and Kona Brewing, it's easy to see why Roundabout's beer is so good. With a focus on quality first and profit second, I expect some pretty great things from Steve and Roundabout. Cheers.
