Ep. 20 – Coronavirus: Dr Mignonne Mary discusses Zinc and NAD+ as part of her clinical approach to COVID-19

April 06, 2020

Dr. Mignonne Mary of The Remedy Room in New Orleans discusses Zinc and NAD for treatment of the Coronavirus. Zinc is an essential trace element that is crucial for growth, development, and the maintenance of immune function. Its influence reaches all organs and cell types. Zinc deficiency is rampant globally. Zinc has been shown to mediate antiviral effects against certain viruses. Clinical studies showed that zinc significantly shortens the duration of symptoms during rhinovirus (cold) infection. Zinc also enhances the host response to many infections and plays an important role in the homeostasis of the immune system. Zinc does influence antiviral immunity, particularly as seen in zinc-deficient populations who frequently acquire viral infections such as HIV or hepatitis C virus. Paragraph Dr. Magnonne has been using NAD+ in patients recovering from the novel coronavirus. Even after conquering COVID-19, regaining energy is often slow. NAD+ has some extraordinary properties, making it extremely useful in body processes ranging from turning the body’s nutrients into forms of energy, and working as a catalyst or helper molecule for other processes involving proteins in the body. It binds to other proteins, enabling cells to carry on various processes ranging from renewal and regeneration to energy production.
