March 30, 2020

Having a chronic condition or being immunocompromised contributes significantly to your likelihood of dying from COVID-19, the disease of the novel coronavirus. What is at the root of chronic diseases and immunocompromised status? Dr. Lewis shows, through searching in the PubMed National Library of Medicine database, a strong connection between pre-existing infections of a chronic nature and chronic diseases. These stealth chronic infections, like Lyme disease are present in almost everyone and they tie up immune system “band width.” This is the basis of being immunocompromised. Within our bodies is a constant battle between survival, our immune health, a pathogens (viruses, bacteria, fungi, and parasites). PubMed proves that the medical research community understands these stealth infections but this information is NOT being used in clinical practice. Cardiovascular disease is not due to a “statin deficiency” and diabetes is not due to a “metformin deficiency.” These drugs simple improve biomarker “numbers” a do not change the trajectory of the diseases. Instead, they manage symptoms. A root-cause of these diseases is infection. If you want to protect yourself from dying from COVID-19, you need to test for these infections, identify “causal” organism, and then treat them to restore yourself to optimal health.
