Confessions of a Lifestyle Preneur: Lifestyle Business Advice to Become a Lifestyle Entrepreneur & T

CLP 043: Ian Robinson – Freedom Podcasting

December 10, 2014

In this episode we speak with lifestyle entrepreneur, Ian Robinson. Currently, Ian and his wife reside in the Dominican Republic. According to Ian, his love for travel began as a child traveling with his family to Central America on summer vacations.

After graduating from college he traveled to Australia and immediately fell in love with the people and culture.

Along the way, Ian funded his travel by finding odd jobs. However, he realized a more stable income was needed to sustain his travel adventure and  founded Freedom Podcasting. com

Ian's business model is one of content publishing.  His company processes raw audio files, creates blog posts, provides graphic design and SEO services for clients.
Strategies for Potential Lifestyle Entrepreneurs:

Reach out to people and do favors for other successful entrepreneurs.  Provide a great service for them and eventually will be so busy that you can start charging for the service. (This is the Consulting Model)
Read books and write about them. Have an affiliate amazon link to the books and collect an affiliate commission.  (This is the Content Creation/Affiliate Marketing Model)
Have your businesses correlate with your own activities. If you are reading books already as part of your lifestyle, then creating blog posts with affiliate links is a correlated activity.  Have all your business activities correlate to each other.

According to Ian, his motivation for travel is the varying cultural perspectives he gained from exposure to other ways of doing things. According to Ian, every time he goes somewhere new, he becomes a new person.
