#04 - Jerod Zavistoski: Leading The Modern Male Movement

September 19, 2014

Challenges:

Jerod was a bipolar kid at a time when it wasn’t believed that kids had bipolar. One of his big challenges has been his journey to managing bipolar. Hear how he took charge of his own path…

On fear:

“It’s not the obstacle you’re facing, it’s the fear of facing that obstacle. Remember no matter how big a rock is, you can move it”.

Methodology of The Modern Male:

“You only need to know what you need to know to get to where you want to go”. This is about trimming the fat – taking only the best knowledge of what works.

Pivotal point:

“How do you teach someone to care?” You can’t teach people to want something.

One thing you can do to move forward this week:

Find a motivating factor, no matter where you are right now in life. What is your leverage point or reason why? You need something that is motivating enough to make you work and not quit.

About Jerod:

Jerod is a speaker, coach, radio host and author of the hugely popular book “Methodology of the Modern Male”. It is not about being a “pick-up artist” or taking dating guru advice, it’s about empowering men to be the best man that they can be. Jerod’s passion is for motivating people to be better.

Jerod overcame much trial and adversity in a very short amount of time. He was one of the first cases of bipolar in kids in the country. Since that life altering move toward self development Jerod has been a stripper, fighter, filmmaker, and drug dealer. Jerod describe’s his life as “Epic and diverse.”

Jerod’s wild ride is far from over, but he has found a deep love for helping people through the trials he has faced. Jerod was diagnosed with Ultradian Rapid Cycling bipolar at the age of 9. He considers himself to have fully beaten it and has written Methodology of the Manic Mind, scheduled to be released in mid 2014, to help others with their struggles. Jerod describes himself as a fat and awkward kid in high school that wasn’t very good with girls. His first published book, Methodology of The Modern Male, became an international bestseller almost overnight. The depth, insight, and humor of Methodology of the Modern Male has been well received and has helped millions of men develop themselves into what Jerod calls a “Modern Male.” Jerod has three other titles scheduled for release in 2014 including Methodology of the Mind, Methodology of the Manic Mind, and Methodology of the Modern Woman.
