We are alive on Facebook

January 15, 2014
What made us do it?

Well it all comes down to reaching an audience. We needed to expand the horizons of the podcast and it is my belief that people do look to Facebook for suggestions about what to watch, listen to and read. Our podcast can benefit greatly from this principle. So with that in mind I decided to create a home for The Command Line on Facebook. Our own Facebook Page.

Will it help?

Yes it already is helping. I am seeing an interesting increase in traffic to our site and followers to the twitter accounts. Therefore proving that the more exposed and seen an entity like this is the more people will pay attention. As long as the show quality and other content remains high. I accept we are still in our infancy, however tools like Facebook will boost us into the podcasting atmosphere.

This page of yours, what does it do?

Well like any Facebook Page it serves as a micro-site for an entity requiring public attention. It allows the user to update the audience or other interested parties with key information in real time as they happen. So for a podcast producer it truly is essential. The Command Line deserves many channels to be heard from and we shall make sure to use as many as possible.

The page will provide links to all articles the blog provides. Showcase the podcast episodes within their own section of the page. Give the audience somewhere to feedback to us directly and publicly if they wish to. Though they also have Twitter and our feedback forms on the main website as well to use for contacting us.

So where is it?

You can find the page here. Do not forget to "like" us to show your support. Also commenting is greatly appreciated.
