Guitarist John Schneider is obsessed - in the best, passionate-music-geek way. The object of his obsession, Harry Partch's work, engenders that kind of response in people. Probably because Partch himself was monomaniacally focused: he was so absorbed with the idea that music should be more than 12 notes that he invented new musical notation, notes, instruments to play said notes, and music for those instruments.
