Deepest Health : Chinese Medicine Podcast

Deepest Health Podcast 24 - Science and Chinese medicine

June 27, 2013

Founder’s note : This is the first podcast done by someone other than myself – this time by Sunjae Lee!

In this latest Deepest Health podcast (and my first one for Deepest Health), I interviewed Timothy Nelson, MSOM, LAc about the ideas expounded upon in his thesis — A fascinating exploration of the role of science in Chinese Medicine. Timothy is a recent graduate of the National College of Natural Medicine and is currently seeing patients at the Common Ground Wellness Center in Portland, OR, while assisting with acupuncture classes at NCNM.

This podcast is the first of a three part series which will examine science’s role in and interaction with Chinese Medicine.

We approach such topics as: What is science? What are its limitations and strengths? What is its role in Chinese Medicine? The second and third parts of the series will deal with establishing Chinese Medicine as its own empirical science and then a live demonstration of a different type of scientific process as demonstrated by art and music.

We hope you enjoy our conversation and stay tuned for the next two installments!
