Welcome to episode 29 of the Chief Sinner Podcast! The command to love others as yourself is not a new one (Lev. 19:34) and yet Jesus said he was giving us a new command to love one another (Jn. 13:34). I believe the newness of Jesus' command lies in "as I have loved you." But what if we can't? What if our neighbor doesn't want to be loved or just doesn't like us? In this episode we talked with Lauren Larkin about what it means to love your neighbor as yourself and obstacles to loving including those times when you can't love your neighbor or yourself. We also talked about our need to be that neighbor who needs loved and the importance of community.
