What’s Your Mark? - Week 40: Jesus Doesn’t Want What You Don’t Have

September 28, 2014

God is able to do exceedingly abundantly more than we can ask or think. We see this principle displayed when Jesus feeds the 4000. This miracle is very similar to when He fed the 5000. He fed this second great crowd in order to leave a lasting impression on His disciples—who often times forgot or doubted the power of Jesus.

This miracle took place close to the end of Jesus’ public ministry. He wanted to let the disciples know that He had come not just to save the Jews but also the Gentiles. He wanted to instill in them that it is not about what they didn’t have but what they did.

In the same way, God wants us to use what we have and let Him do the rest. As we give thanks to Him and remember that He is our provider, we will see that all things are possible with Him. While we work in the natural which is limited our God works in the supernatural.
