When the storms of life arise, we have a habit of thinking that we can handle what is happening. We can think that we do not need to bother Jesus with what is happening; we may even think He is sleeping; but then, when the problem becomes too much, we end up screaming out to God at the crisis point. Why do we wait this long? If we believe that Jesus is anything less than the Son of God, we believe that we can do it without Him, and when we realize we can’t, we get mad at Him for not intervening sooner. God wants to know why we didn’t ASK Him to intervene sooner. If we trust in Christ as the Son of God then we can and should call on Him the MOMENT the storms arise. God is never worried; He is always calm. He knows the end result, and He wants us to trust in Him. He’s got it—whether we see Him working or not.
