Today on Blogging with WordPress, I share tips and tricks that I uses to drive LARGE amounts of traffic to my blog using Twitter and LinkedIn.  For over 3 years now, LinkedIn has been the number one referrer to my website, with Twitter not far behind. The tips I share with you on this episodes are easy and require very little time and effort. I believe that if your not already implementing these ideas, that your blog traffic will DOUBLE when you finally do.

Tweet often. Your tweet only last for about 30 seconds. I recommend tweeting no less then once an hour from your own blog or content. Now if you only have a small amount of content, then you would have to dial it back a bit so that it’s not always the same content being tweeted every day.Recycle your content through twitter regularly. Especially your free guides, eBooks and etc.. You can schedule your tweets using a free tool called Hootsuite.

Consistently tweeting is most important. If your not consistent then you will not get much engagement. If you can’t be consistent, then those followers will find someone who is consistent to pay attention too.

Respond to your messages and to those reaching out to you.

Use hastags. Every post should have 1 hashtag, but no more then two. I like to include my has tag within the title and not at the end if I can help it.

Use buffer for content that doesn’t belong to you. So when you see an article or video that you think would greatly benefit your audience, then you should add it to your buffer account and share that with your followers. Use Hootsuite for your own content.

Use twitter to drive business to your other profiles such as Facebook. Every day a tweet goes out inviting people to follow Easytechsite on Facebook.

Change up the tweets so that your not sending out the exact same tweet every day.

Add RETWEET or RT at the end of your tweets. Don’t be afraid to ask for the retweet.

Take the time to build up your profile, create a banner image and make sure you have a good headshot photo. No one will take you serious if you havent taken the time to build up your Twitter profile.
