BSFF Podcast 164 – Scenario Questions #12 -

December 08, 2015

In today's podcast we will be going over a situation that another investor has recently found himself in.

As I read through this scenario, I will answer any questions they have and I will explain what I would do/have done in this type of situation.

Show Notes
In This Scenario, We Cover:

* I spoke to a real estate broker today regarding a property that they had listed. While on the phone with the broker I mentioned what I was looking for and asked them if they had anything that met my criteria. The broker mentioned that there was a 24 unit building in the neighborhood that I am looking in that they were going to list. I asked the broker if they can send me the deal set up or financial information for the property but the broker said that they don't have it yet and hope to have the listing finalized within the next week. Broker seems to be inexperienced, gave me the property address. The building is in a hot neighborhood and seems like it will be listed at a good price. I am worried that in the next week someone else might get to the deal before me. I do not currently have a relationship with the broker but was hoping to start a relationship with them. I do not want to go around or step on the brokers toes but I do not want to risk losing the deal. What do you recommend I do with the situation? Should I contact the owner directly? Should I tell the broker that I will be contacting the owner directly?
