After a seventy eight day campaign, Stephen Harper's Conservatives were pushed out and now Justin Trudeau is Canada's new prime minister. In landslide victory, the Liberal party took a majority government, which means the Liberals will be in power for at least another four years. This comes after almost ten years of Stephen Harper's Conservatives being in power. A lot of changes were made to Canadian policy that a lot of people didn't agree with. So now that Trudeau is in, it'll be interesting to see how much of what he promised in his campaign is actually going to happen. One of the big things he promised is to reform the election process and to introduce proportional representation.
