My guests today are Andy McCarthy CEO of RACV Solar and Ivy who are both super passionate about sustainability. RACV solar is one of the largest solar installers in Victoria and has been helping people access renewable energy for over 10 years. 

In today’s episode, we’re discussing the need and benefits of installing solar systems in our homes. Ivy and Andy discuss the push to move away from fossil fuels like gas towards renewable energy. 

We talk about the solar system we used in BuildHer and how it was installed to be future proof with smart software for electric cars and solar sharing.  

It has never been more important (and easier!) to install and access solar energy than it is now. Australia has to work towards a more sustainable future and through more and more people moving away from fossil fuels, we can help reduce our carbon footprint and work towards a healthier environment. 

Andy shares how as customers, we can research and educate ourselves on renewable energy and vote with our wallets. If the builder won’t listen, don’t build with that company. There are amazing builders who are investing in sustainability and by speaking out you can help change the consumer-led market.
