Bruce & Hobbes Podcast: Terry Lin, Forever Home Blankets

August 09, 2016

This week, Bruce & Hobbes are joined by Terry Lin - Entrepreneur, Rescue Volunteer, Founder - Forever Home Blankets

Terry Lin left a lucrative investment banking career to work on a project that had meaning and purpose. After volunteering as a foster home with an animal rescue in Vietnam, Terry decided it was time to make a bigger impact.

The result was his new company, Forever Home Blankets.

Terry knew that due to overpopulation, many dogs are forced to sleep outdoors in the cold, when they aren’t equipped to handle it. A blanket helps an animal feel safe, warm and comfortable. It allows them to relax, and be themselves, so a potential adopter can see his or her true personality. More adoptions means less euthanizations, which saves lives!

At Forever Home Blankets, their mission is to improve the living conditions of shelter animals, increase adoptions, and save lives.

During his visit with “Bruce & Hobbes,” Terry discusses:

-How Forever Home Blankets came to be
-How the company came up with its’ social mission
-Why it’s important for a shelter animal to have a blanket
-The company’s Kickstarter campaign
-The company’s “Buy One, Give One” business model
-Some the shelters and animal rescue organizations he’s partnered with already
-How people can get involved and help
