March 10, 2016

On this week's podcast, Bruce & Hobbes are joined by:

Dogs & cats aren’t the only animals who need forever homes. There are many other companion animals who need to find good homes too, and that includes ferrets. That’s where the folks at Ferret Rescue of Maine come in.

Ferret Rescue of Maine (FROM) is a 501c3 state-licensed, non-profit rescue and no-kill shelter dedicated to serving the needs of the domestic ferret throughout the state, regardless of their age, or health. In addition to rescuing homeless ferrets, FROM also works with local pet stores to provide education seminars for ferret owners, as well as people considering ferrets as an addition to their family.

If you’ve ever had a ferret as a companion animal, you’ll LOVE this week’s podcast, and if you haven’t, you’ll learn a considerable amount about these cute little guys. Bruce & Hobbes talk with Crystal, and find out what it’s like to have a ferret as a companion animal, and answer some common questions about them. Are ferrets difficult to care for? Do they get along with other animals? What factors should someone consider before adding a ferret to their family? If you do get a ferret, why is “ferret-proofing” your home critical? Answers to these questions, and many more, on this week’s show.
