Freedom From Worry – (S2, Ep 13)

April 13, 2020

“So do not worry, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, What shall we wear? For the pagans run after these things and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek ye first His Kingdom, and His righteousness; and all things will be given to you as well.”
Matthew 6:30-33
Minister Shawn Lawrimore provides a moment of encouragement, prayer and reminder that we serve a God that is in control. Is the chaos of COVID-19 deterring or strengthening your connection to God? This is the time to turn your heart to God. Now, in the face of sudden death, job loss, health concerns, failures of local, state and federal government, it is time to turn to God for relief from worry and a reminder to remain faithful.
‘Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?’ Can anyone of you by worrying, allowing the mind to dwell on difficulties add an additional hour to your life? Will worry add value to your existence? Not at all. God reminds us that the birds of the air do not reap or sow, however they are provided for and if you are more valuable than the birds, put your trust in the Kingdom of the Lord. God will provide, as he is a healer, deliverer, protector.
Always remember, in God, we have everything we need. God promises to provide all of the things we need and more. And by His example, be a light in someone else’s life. Continue to do the work you have been called to do.  Repent, pray and love one another. It’s time to stop, connect and know the Body of Christ. Be still, come to the presence of God and find your peace in what is promised.
