While at the Nine Worlds convention in London, we made recordings of a number of panels held at this very busy event. This is the first (of several) that we’ll be releasing over the forthcoming weeks.

New House, Old Ghosts: Reinventing Mythology & the Supernatural for the 21st Century

Monster-making and mythbreaking: a panel discussing how and why we use myths, legends and folklore to tell stories about ourselves today, with Ben Aaronovitch,  Kate Griffin, Lou Morgan & Barry Nugent. Moderated by Jo Fletcher.

Like all the book track panels we were able to go to, it was well attended. In most cases by arriving a little early we were fortunate enough to get a seat. For later arrivals it was often standing room only.

The main part of the talk is provided in this recording. It draws to a close with the departure of Barry Nugent (Fallen Heroes)  for… well, you’ll hear.
