Environmental issues are being put on the back-burner as our world deals with the COVID19 crisis, with many bans on single use plastic waste being delayed. We spoke to Dr Holly Kaye-Smith about the impact that single use plastics have on the environment, how the Covid-19 pandemic has shown people that a mass change in the way we function as a society is not impossible when it comes to abolishing single use plastics, and how we can communicate the importance of change effectively.
