We discussed the bleak landscape of the future of healthcare through the lens of two apps aimed at helping old folks and mental health, all watched over by machines of loving grace. Papa is an app that erases your guilt about being a shitty son or daughter in the throes of late capitalism, and Brave is an app that improves your mental health by letting you complain to a robot about Brenda from accounting who thinks she’s soooo great but somehow is still single. Maybe look at yourself, Brenda. Maybe take a good long look in the mirror and ask yourself why you’re still single and pushing 35.
