The book "Call Sign Chaos" by James Mattis is one of the best modern leadership and military memoirs of our day. Hon. James Mattis is a retired 4-star General in the Marine Corps and also served as the U.S. Secretary of Defense. He was a commanding officer of units that directly invaded Iraq (both times) and Afghanistan. Mattis provides great perspective on leadership and how to unite thousands of people together to accomplish seemingly impossible objectives.
