On Episode Two of the podcast is Tom Kayser, President of the Texas League, a double A minor league for Major League Baseball.  I spoke with Tom a few weeks ago and had a great conversation about his early days in baseball including being a one man operation for a minor league team and eventually buying that same team before he turned 30.   Tom is a great story teller and you can hear his passion for the game in the stories he tells.  I especially loved hearing about his days with the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Cincinnati Reds.

Tom also recently published the Texas League Baseball Almanac and it was interesting to hear a few of the unique stories from the history of the league.   Just to hear some of the great players that passed through on their way to the majors makes you want to sit down and scour the book for your favorite players from past and present.
