BEING FIRST GENERATION

BEING FIRST GENERATION

12: Being Croatian American with Dina Miro

July 26, 2020

Today I am sharing a conversation I had with my friend Dina. Dina and I met in our book club and I cannot wait for you to hear her incredible stories.

Dina was born in Croatia and has lived in various parts of the US including New York and Los Angeles.

While conflict and war devastated that area of Europe in the 1990s, Dina’s family worked hard to assimilate to American life, consistently maintaining passion for Croatian culture and connecting with other immigrant cultures within their communities.

In today’s episode Dina talks about her favorite parts of the Croatian culture. The food, the holidays, the dancing and so much more.

We are also going to hear about how her career started. First off in theater to now film and production and the support she received from her family.

Croatians are known to be good people, have huge hearts and overall, just love life so we hope you love this episode today.
