  • Stretches for more than 60 miles along the South Carolina coast
  • One of the most popular coastlines on the east coast, but long enough that you can find uncrowded beaches
  • Average temperature in the 80s in July

      • Secluded stretch of sandy beach and large sand dunes
      • Walkway over marshy area is a great place to spot some alligators


    • Surfside Beach

      • Area surrounding Surfside Pier
      • Great fishing
      • Lots of restaurants, shops, and bars
      • Nice sandy beach


    • Myrtle Beach State park

      • Most beautiful beach in the area
      • Lots of hiking trails
      • Very few crowds mean long stretches of coastline all to yourself
