Korean fan throws banana milk on court

December 19, 2015

How can basketball turn banana milk so sour? Welcome to the Korean Basketball Association where it's about the only place in the world that you will find banana milk on a basketball court.

On December 17th, 2015, in Seoul, South Korea, the Seoul Samsung Thunders travelled to Ulsan to take on the Mobis Pheobous. With under two minutes to go in the third quarter, Samsung had possession under the Mobis basket, foreign import Eric Wise was posting up against Mobis' Cuthbert Victor who played straight up good defense. But when a foul was called, Victor expressed his disbelief of the call by yelling out "that's some bullshit". No technical was called until he was subbed out of the game and gave the ref a stare down.

Nobody could believe the call. The fans were outraged. None more than the man and his banana milk.

The fan wasn't hard to spot. There were about 300 fans at the game, so he was easy to point out.

The clean up crew, all dressed in cow costumes, sprinted towards the spill to get it cleaned up as quick as possible. But it wasn't quick enough for the KBL's standards. KBL referees grabbed a couple of napkins and helped out with the clean up.

Throwing things on the court has always been a theme in Asian basketball. Recently, a fan in China tossed a water bottle at some players going through the tunnel to the locker room and hit a player in the face.

Oh yeah, Samsung won the game 73-72.
