The Beijing Ducks are one win away from winning the 2014 CBA championship.

The Ducks took care of the Xinjiang Flying Tigers at home Wednesday with a 94-88 game-4 victory. Beijing holds a 3-1 series lead and will look to close out the series at home Friday March 28 at the MasterCard Center.

Randolph Morris led the way for Beijing with 25 points including a slam dunk (bloody facial) that sent Xinjiang big man Su Wei to the ground.

Ducks point-guard Stephon Marbury chipped in with 23 points and 8 assists but it was Chinese teammate Sun Yue who provided the clutch dagger with back to back three pointers late in the fourth quarter.

“I saw the shot clock had only 1 second left, I had no choice but to shoot it, I was just happy it went in.” says Sun of the first three he hit. “At that point you just need to keep your composure and have confidence in yourself. We put up a lot of shots during practice so when it comes down to it the shots will be natural.”

Physicality

The term “playoff basketball” is in full effect during this series.

Both teams are going after each other time and time again. The intensity on both ends of the floor makes for exciting basketball. The Beijing fans get right into it. Every time there is the slightest altercation on the floor the fans start chanting at opposing players, coaches or the referees.

Games three and four of this series have been decided not so much on who has the most talent but who can outwork their opponent, especially who can control the glass. Xinjiang won this battle in game three and in doing so won the game but during game four, it was all Beijing.
