When a soldier puts his tactical gear on - helmet, vest, boots, and then arms himself, he feels different than he did in jeans and t-shirt. He feels confident, with a different mindset, attitude and he would never consider going into the field without them. As believers and sons of God, we are told to "put on" Jesus like clothing. We are told to "put on" the full armor of God, including helmet, chest protector and boots - spiritually. When we put on our armor, we will feel confident, full of faith and able to extinguish the thoughts that the enemy fires at us. Without getting dressed in our spiritual closet each day, we will lack confidence, lack faith and fruitfulness.
