Everything is vying for first place in our lives.  In Colossians 1 Paul shares that Jesus created all things, and holds all things together and He desires to have first place in everything.  Unlike any other king or leader, the King of all Kings could dominate and control, but He doesn't.  He stands and knocks at the door waiting for us to invite Him into the first place.
