In today’s NEW episode, Deputy Director of Empowerment, Amie Fisher, will share with us an interview with Ken Fisher, Chairman and CEO of the Fisher House Foundation. In his interview today, Ken will share the latest on Fisher House’s work supporting military families, discuss the issues impacting our military community and raise awareness of the importance of supporting our nation’s heroes, and their families, on Veterans Day and beyond. The Fisher House is best known for its network of 96 comfort homes where families of wounded, injured or ill service members and veterans can stay at no cost while their loved one receives treatment far from home.

As Chairman and CEO of the Fisher House Foundation, Ken has dedicated his life to service. He is a business leader and philanthropist with an unwavering dedication to serving those who have served our country. As a partner of Fisher Brothers, Ken presides over the daily operations, managing and leasing of one of the country’s most successful family-owned real estate development and management companies. Ken is strongly committed to serving our military community as he carries on his Great Uncle, Zach Fisher’s, legacy as chairman and CEO of Fisher House Foundation.

In addition to these roles, Ken currently serves as co-chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum and served as the chairman of the 2016 Invictus Games in Orlando, Florida. Ken attended Ithaca College and received an honorary Doctorate of Commercial Science from the University in May 2016, among other recognitions including being named one of America’s Best Leaders by U.S. News & World Report. Most recently, he received the West Point Association of Graduates’ Sylvanus Thayer Award for 2022. Additional distinctions form a long list of honors from organizations including the United States Marine Corps, the Department of Defense, the Department of Veteran Affairs, HillVets, the Friends of the Vietnam Memorial, and many others.
