In a continuing theme of our coverage on social media, we don't neglect to ensure you are aware of best practices in security and privacy. Twitter updated its' security settings on August 6, 2013 that makes it even better.

1.  You can use cell phone (for SMS) or a code generated in the app. This is great for when you have WiFi but no phone service. Excellent for international use.

2.  You can span added security across all accounts you manage.

3.  Have a backup code for when you really don't have your phone with you.
