Spoiler Warning for the following in this episode:
* Yuri On Ice episodes 7, 8, 9
* Sound Euphonium episodes 7, 8, 9
So I have been keeping up with these two shows every week, but I got a bit sidetracked talking about other ones on the show.
Also, Yuri On Ice, while a fun show, doesn’t exactly lend itself well to analysis. I’m not entirely sure why that is, but it’s probably because aside from Yuri’s self-confidence issues, it’s not exactly a deep show.
Anyways, Sound Euphonium has been one hell of a treat for the past few episodes with some juicy as fuck drama going on in the Oumae and Tanaka households. I also want to say that the ending scene in episode 9 was really special in my opinion.
Do you know what it’s like to play music for someone else when they’re the only one listening? I’ve had the rare privilege of doing that twice in my life and it’s very calming and fulfilling. You kinda get that as the listener, too. I think episode 9 will probably be my personal highlight for this season though I expect the Nationals performance will be great.
