How to Think Straight:Alien propaganda for Christians & the one Israel

August 03, 2013

This is part one of a podcast that originally took place on March 5 2013. Rex and Hector were on Talkshoe with Dave as he decided to get some exercise while doing a podcast and yes he was out walking the entire time he was on the call. After exposing the agenda to deceive Christians about the true nature of "Alien" beings, Dave made some criticisms of the widely popular view that the Christian Church is "Spiritual Israel." This teaching affirms that there are two Israels in history rather than one which is an essential component of the traditional Christian view known as Supersessionism or Replacement Theology that was inherited from the Roman Catholic Church.

Both the Western and Eastern Church have traditionally held to this view and the concept of the Church being "Spiritual Israel" is an important aspect of Reformed Protestant theology and the historically dominant view of Amillenialism. This belief system held sway until the mid-19th century when another view that affirmed the Two Israel Theory emerged which eventually became known as Dispensationalism..

The theory that there is one Israel rather than two emphasizes a provision in the Mosaic Law that enabled people of any nation or bloodline to be integrated into the Israelite community with certain (temporal) exceptions. This absorption into the Israelite community took place through the rite of circumcision and at a later point intermarriage was permissible.
The passages that are commonly used to prove that the Christian Church is a newly created entity known as Spiritual Israel can be easily explained once we understand that the verses commonly used to prove this position are actually referring to the set apart remnant present in every generation.
Dave refers to this rarely heard view as the Unified Israel Theory which affirms that these passages refer to a superior elect Israel WITHIN Israel (Rom 9:6-8;Gal 6:16) rather than a secondary entity outside of Israel that emerged in the first century.
Another rarely heard position was introduced which emphasizes that the Hebrew and Greek words commonly translated as "Gentile" (Latin) can refer to Israelites and/or non-Torah observant Israelites as well as non-Israelites depending on the context. This simple truth collapses the artificial construct of the so-called Gentile Church that was created by Roman Catholicism as an essential component of Replacement Theology and we'll be talking about this more in upcoming podcasts.
Along the way the conspiracy theory was set forth that the Masoretic Text (which the majority of modern Bible translations are dependant on) was created for a diabolical purpose by non-Christians. Dave mentioned that this text is inferior to the Greek Septuagint (LXX) which more closely follows the Dead Sea Scrolls although it has it's own unique textual problems. NOTE: The nature of Israel is taken up again in Part Two but is not adequately explained until later podcasts
