On today’s podcast we’ll discuss the following:
▶ General News: Gun demand and gun stocks are beginning to fade. I’ll tell you what this means for you. The U.S. State Department is warning college students across the country not to spend spring break in certain parts of Mexico. I’ll talk about this irony and provide an interesting analogy. Nearly 500 jurisdictions are now sanctuary cities. The ACA “revamp” may be in trouble. Robots are on the rise and starting to show themselves in major cities.
▶ Economics: Not only may the Fed raise rates… but they may advance rates bigger than previously expected. According to CNBC, Investors are in for a rude awakening about a coming stock market correction. The debt ceiling deadline is tomorrow. There is talk about another government shutdown. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says the government will not default, but that doesn’t mean it may not come at a price. We’ll talk about it.
▶ Global Issues: The U.S. presence off the Korean Peninsula, which includes drone stations, military drills and even elite American special forces, is growing and reportedly part of a plan aimed at “incapacitating” the rogue regime in Pyongyang should conflict break out. North Korea is not happy about it has warned of “merciless” attacks if it violates the nation’s “sovereignty and dignity.” Iran is officially recognized as one of the greatest threats to the region and Russia and China have made their presence in the Middle East and Africa abundantly clear.
