It is World Communion Sunday and the lectionary points us to a text about marriage and divorce. What does that have to do with communion? Maybe more than we think. In this reading from Mark, Jesus seems to offer a teaching on marriage and divorce. However, if we know anything about Jesus, we should always expect there to be more. Is Jesus talking about divorce or is there something deeper? There's always something deeper. And at the heart of this is a message of Christian unity that begins at God's table.
