The Walrus And The Carpenter, Musically Speaking

September 21, 2016

We take a break from our Through The Looking-Glass wrap-up to marvel how one piece of poetry can inspire very different pieces of music. The first selection to be discussed is The Walrus And The Carpenter from Donovan's HMS Donovan, a 1971 double album that was meant for children. The second is the 1996 composition Cabbages And Kings by David Del Tredici, an American composer who was very inspired by Lewis Carroll literature.
