Erica Rose was a very successful professional open water swimmer;  a World Champion (2008), 10x National Champion (1997-2007), Pan- Pacific Gold Medalist (1999), Pan-American Gold Medalist (2004-2006), and 4x USA Open Water Swimmer of the Year.  Erica swam collegiately at Northwestern before going pro.  She has returned to school to get her MBA and as of today (June 9 2014) she is in India studying abroad.
