70 to 90 percent of America’s over-the-counter medicines are manufactured in China. Many Fortune 500 companies like Apple, Google, and Walmart have huge footprints in China. There is even talk that one of the world’s largest financial institutions, JP Morgan Chase, is looking to establish a major presence in the country.
Michael Johns, a co-founder of the Tea Party, said there is a litany of concerns the United States should have when it comes to doing business with China. He said the ever-growing dependency on China should be met with skepticism along with the lack of transparency over the origins of Covid19 and human rights violations against the Uighurs. In addition, unfair trade practices and environmental abuses should be reviewed.
