Today, we will pray that we are renewed by faith! In last week’s episode, I shared with you that miracles do happen; I witnessed people being healed. I also wanted to share with you a list of God’s promises.

If you missed the last episode, you can find it here. Christmas Miracle

I attended a presentation by Maria Vadia, who has dedicated her life to serving the Lord. I spoke more about it in the last episode, here is her ministry is The Glory of God Foundation. Here, you can find a list of all the scripture verses she shared. If you can, pray and ponder these verses, and I pray you are renewed in your faith.

To recap, Maria prayed for miracles, and many people in attendance were healed. The real miracle is that God heals, and we were able to witness this by others present. One of my friends said her back was healed of pain. Another from her knee pain, and yet another from fear and anxiety. Praise God!

As she continued to pray for healing, you could see the people in attendance warm up to her. In the Bible, we read many times about how the Lord healed. People were skeptical that he was the Messiah, but when they witnessed miracles, they realized He was the Son of God. In Mark 2:1-12 there is an account of the paralytic who was lowered through the roof by his friends. The Lord took pity on him, and in Mark 2:5-12 we read…

When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.” Now some of the scribes were sitting there, questioning in their hearts, “Why does this fellow speak in this way? It is blasphemy! Who can forgive sins but God alone?” At once Jesus perceived in his spirit that they were discussing these questions among themselves; and he said to them, “Why do you raise such questions in your hearts? Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Stand up and take your mat and walk’? 10 But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—he said to the paralytic— 11 “I say to you, stand up, take your mat and go to your home.” 12 And he stood up, and immediately took the mat and went out before all of them; so that they were all amazed and glorified God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this!”

When we read passages like this, how can we not be renewed by faith? Miracles and healings are not just for the past; they are for today! Right now. One thing that touched my heart was hearing Maria say she prayed for herself and she was healed. I’ve done this when I suffer from migraines when I remember to do it! I lay my hand on my head and pray, in the mighty Name of Jesus, that I am healed. Sometimes, I am healed, and other times, I am not. We do not understand the why, but we can praise God in the fruits of prayer, either way. With healing or no healing, that friend is the true miracle.

The miracle is when those who are not healed have the peace and the grace to endure with the help of God.

Yet, when someone shares the good news, people doubt it! We need a kingdom mindset this year. We need to change our attitude and see the goodness of God. When we focus on Him, we can have the peace and joy we crave. We have hope.

Word of God: We can receive healing through the mighty word of God, and it begins with knowing the Scriptures, believing them and memorizing them. God’s word is a lamp unto my feet. Psalm 119:104-106

Through your precepts I get understanding;

therefore I hate every false way.

105 Your word is a lamp to my feet

and a light to my path.
106 I have sworn an oath and confirmed it,

to observe your righteous ordinances.

Praise: Singing and worshiping is praying twice. Praising God in word or song helps to get our spirit in tune with God. Psalm 33:3 – “Sing to him a new song; play skillfully on the strings, with loud shouts.”

The atmosphere changes when we praise God, and the scriptures are full of words of praise for the Lord.

Joy: We must be joyful; the joy of the Lord keeps us strong. Proverbs 22:17-18

The words of the wise:

Incline your ear and hear my words,[b]

    and apply your mind to my teaching;
18 for it will be pleasant if you keep them within you,

if all of them are ready on your lips.

A joyful heart is good for our bodies, and it can be healing. The joy of the Lord is good! This is in contrast to what the world tells us. In Galatians 5:22 we read: By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control.
Praying: It is important to pray and to pray with others. Matthew 18:19-20
Again, truly I tell you, if two of you agree on earth about anything you ask, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them.”

Many times when I pray, I lead with that prayer. I ask the Lord to calm my mind, to help me focus on Him, and I ask for the Holy Spirit to come, then I pray, Lord, you promised, where two or more are gathered in my name, I am there among them. Please dwell among us… then I lift up the prayer or the need. When we pray we should use Scriptures they are so powerful.

John 14: 15-17
If you love me, you will keep[f] my commandments. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate,[g] to be with you forever. 17 This is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, because he abides with you, and he will be in[h] you.

and God promised not to leave us orphaned. John 14: 18-21
“I will not leave you orphaned; I am coming to you. 19 In a little while the world will no longer see me, but you will see me; because I live, you also will live. 20 On that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you. 21 They who have my commandments and keep them are those who love me; and those who love me will be loved by my Father, and I will love them and reveal myself to them.”

Gifts of the Holy Spirit: Not only that, but God gave us the gifts to use to pray for healing. 1 Corinthian 12 4-11

Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of services, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who activates all of them in everyone. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. To one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, 10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the discernment of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 All these are activated by one and the same Spirit, who allots to each one individually just as the Spirit chooses.

It is up to God how he gives the gifts to each one of us, but that doesn’t mean you can’t pray for them! God is a generous God. We can claim healings in the Name of Jesus. But then we must give glory to God.

The Bread of Life: For me, as a Catholic, that means the Eucharist. At this time, I pray to the Lord, I ask for a deeper relationship with Him, I say, Come, Lord Jesus Come. John 6 (read the entire chapter), but after Jesus performed the miracle of the bread and loaves, the people questioned him, and they wanted more signs. They said what sign you are going to give us then?

John 6:29-34 — Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.” 30 So they said to him, “What sign are you going to give us then, so that we may see it and believe you? What work are you performing? 31 Our ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written, ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’” 32 Then Jesus said to them, “Very truly, I tell you, it was not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is that which[g] comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” 34 They said to him, “Sir, give us this bread always.”lieve in him whom he has sent.”So they said to him, “What sign are you going to give us then, so that we may see it and believe you? What work are you performing?

He then went on to say in John 6: 35-37 – 35 Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. 36 But I said to you that you have seen me and yet do not believe. 37 Everything that the Father gives me will come to me, and anyone who comes to me I will never drive away; 38 for I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me. 3

We must believe, and that is the biggest obstacle. Just like the people who saw miracles from the very hands of our Lord and Savior didn’t believe and wanted more miracles, that is how we are today. God wants us restored; he broke the bonds of sin, and the enemy has no power over us. Jesus forgave our sins, he died on the cross to take on our sins, and He rose from the dead and conquered it!

I want to leave you with this powerful scripture – Romans 8:9-10
But you are not in the flesh; you are in the Spirit,[a] since the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. 10 But if Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit[b] is life because of righteousness.

Amen and Amen! Let God be praised today and always.
