There is a story from Gretchen Rubin. It's called the argument of the growing heap. She says, “If ten coins are not enough to make a man rich, what if you add one coin? What if you add another? Finally, you will have to say that no one can be rich unless one coin can make him so.” In this week's episode Heidi and Karen discuss this concept. It's easy to say, "eating one cupcake surely won't matter." Or "missing going to the gym today won't matter." And you're right. That ONE time won't matter. Just like the ONE coin won't make the man rich. But at some point those coins add up and make a difference and truly matter. So start adding coins to your heap. Make a good effort at something today and add that one coin!
